Administrative Staff

Lead Administrator & Development: Lisa Mahar, 603-357-4442  x104 lmahar@monadnockwaldorfschool.org

Lisa received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, majoring in elementary education and guidance.  Lisa worked with young people in East Boston and Newton Massachusetts school systems before moving to the Monadnock Region in 1984 where she and her husband spent 10 years establishing a community farm.  Lisa came to MWS to lead the development effort in 1991 and became School Administrator in 1992.  She has since worked closely through every stage of the school’s growth and development.  Lisa is a founding member of the Development and Administrators’ Network, part of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.  Lisa loves to sing, cook, travel, and spend time with her family.  She has three grown children, all of whom attended Monadnock Waldorf School.  She lives in Keene with her husband Bill Beardslee.

Pat graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a BS in Textile Design. Her career has included retail management, public relations and program development. Enthusiastic about Waldorf education, Pat served as President of the Board at Tamarack Community School (now Tamarack Waldorf School) during its early years.

Pat’s family moved to Keene in 2000, and her youngest son joined grade three at Monadnock Waldorf School. Pat volunteered as vendor coordinator of the Crafts Fair and served as Class Parent. She later became a member of the school’s Board of Trustees and chaired the Enrollment Committee. Pat moved to Dublin, New Hampshire, after her son’s graduation from grade 8 in 2006 and joined High Mowing School’s Admissions Office, serving as its Director from February 2008, until returning to Monadnock Waldorf School as its Director of Outreach and Enrollment in November of 2013.

Kim received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Biology from Keene State College. Prior to coming to Monadnock Waldorf School she worked for 15 years in sales operations.  She lives in Keene, NH with her husband and daughter.  Her hobbies include knitting, reading, and gardening.

Jo-Anne worked at Markem Corporation as a secretary until the birth of her first child and then chose to stay home and raise her family.  After moving to Camp Glen Brook in Marlborough, she became involved and worked part-time while living there for 10 years.  During this time her children began attending Monadnock Waldorf School and she began volunteering in the Main Office which led to a part-time position until June of 1995 when she was hired in her current position as full-time bookkeeper.  Jo-Anne enjoys travelling, maple sugaring, gardening, reading, trips to the seacoast and spending time with her family.  She has two grown daughters and lives in Roxbury with her husband Steve.

Courtney graduated from UMASS-Amherst with a B.S in Accounting.  Right out of college, Courtney worked as a public accounting auditor at Deloitte in Boston for four years.  When her first child arrived in 2001, she became a stay-at-home mom and remained at home until 2013 when she joined MWS.  Both of her children have gone through Monadnock Waldorf School from parent-child through current 6th and 7th grades.  Courtney enjoys reading, photography, volunteering and laughing!

Nursery-Kindergarten Office Coordinator: Pam Harmon, 603-357-8663 pharmon@monadnockwaldorfschool.org

Pam has a strong background in education at all levels and holds a masters degree in environmental studies from Antioch University New England with an emphasis on teaching.  She has a long history of volunteer service including work for Stonewall Farm and for the Nature Conservancy.  She is also a master gardener with a focus on classroom programs for young children.  You’ll see her in the Nursery-Kindergarten office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

High School Office Coordinator: Carol Renzelman,  603-903- 0064 crenzelman@monadnockwaldorfschool.org

Bachelor of Music, Manhattan School of Music, MS Ed, Hofstra University. Carol joined the MWS administrative team after a fifteen-year career in public elementary school education—during which she taught on Long Island, in Massachusetts, and in New Hampshire—and another fifteen years of part-time self-employment combined with full-time parenthood. While raising her family, Carol continued to teach on a private basis while handling the administrative tasks for her husband’s forestry business and launching her own custom writing services business. Carol’s love for Monadnock Waldorf School and her dedication to volunteer work there led her to a position of Administrative Support at MWS’s Nursery-Kindergarten office and, more currently, to managing the MWHS office. Carol has one high-school-aged daughter and three grown stepchildren.
